We are excited to announce the release of Memberlite 5.0, the latest version of our popular WordPress membership site theme. Packed with new features, enhancements, and bug fixes, Memberlite 5.0 is designed to take your membership site to the next level.

Memberlite Version 5.0 Now a Hybrid WordPress Theme for Membership Sites

Let’s dive into the highlights of this release:

  1. Hybrid Theme Features for WordPress Block Editor: To ensure seamless compatibility with the WordPress Block Editor, Memberlite 5.0 introduces hybrid theme features. This means you can harness the power of the Block Editor while maintaining the familiar functionality of Memberlite.
  2. Improved Default Color Scheme: We’ve revamped the default color scheme to enhance the visual appeal of your site. If you prefer the previous color palette, fear not! Existing sites can choose the Legacy Default scheme.
  3. Customizable Masthead and Footer Colors: Now you have full control over the appearance of your site’s masthead and footer. Memberlite 5.0 introduces the ability to customize background colors and text colors for these crucial sections using the Customizer.
  4. Clear Indication of Navigation Menu Children: Enhancing the user experience, we’ve added a caret icon to the primary navigation menu, making it easier for users to identify when a menu item has children or submenus.
  5. General Style Updates: Memberlite 5.0 brings a fresh look and feel to the theme with general updates to styles throughout. We’ve refined the aesthetics to ensure a modern and visually pleasing experience for your site visitors.
  6. Expanded Font Options: We understand the importance of typography, which is why we’ve added additional Google Fonts to Memberlite 5.0. You now have access to DM Sans, Figtree, Poppins, and Inter, providing even more flexibility in choosing the perfect font for your site.
  7. Customizing the Editor Color Palette: For developers and designers, we’ve introduced the memberlite_editor_color_palette filter. With this feature, you can easily adjust the color palette of the editor to match your site’s branding and style.
  8. Font Awesome Version 6.4: We’ve upgraded the Font Awesome integration in Memberlite to version 6.4. This update brings new icons and improved performance, ensuring your site stays up-to-date with the latest icon library.
  9. Performance Optimization: To enhance performance, we’ve made optimizations under the hood. By reducing calls made to get_option() from pmpro_getOption(), we’ve streamlined the code and improved efficiency.
  10. Enhanced Layout and Grid: Memberlite 5.0 embraces modern standards by enlarging the overall maximum site width and grid spacing. The content width has also been updated to accommodate the new larger grid, providing a more spacious and contemporary design.
  11. Bug Fixes and Accessibility Improvements: We’ve diligently addressed various bugs and made several accessibility improvements in this release. Highlights include fixes to the “Log Out” link in the PMPro Login Widget, improved heading structure for loop items versus single posts, and better screen reader text for page navigation.
  12. Compatibility and Compatibility: To ensure compatibility with popular plugins, we’ve made adjustments for Jetpack and resolved issues related to PHP 8 deprecated notices. We’ve also fixed a bug affecting the columns layout on search results when the blog grid display is enabled.
